Bilingual company-profile and product website for a first-hand children's clothing wholesaler in Tanah Abang — built for resellers, with scroll-driven storytelling and local-SEO baked in.
WONKA Kids is a bilingual (Indonesian/English) marketing and product website for a first-hand children's clothing manufacturer operating out of Tanah Abang, Jakarta since 2006. It positions a family-run wholesale business for resellers and shops — telling the brand story, showcasing products, and walking buyers through the in-house production process end to end.
Language is handled entirely client-side through localStorage rather than separate /en and /id routes, so every page keeps a single canonical URL for SEO while readers switch between Indonesian and English instantly. All copy lives in type-safe dictionaries with enforced key parity between locales, so nothing is hardcoded and the two languages can never drift out of sync.
The site leans on scroll-driven storytelling in the style of high-end studio sites: Lenis smooth scrolling paired with GSAP ScrollTrigger drives reveal and parallax effects, an animated intro, and a pinned scrollytelling section that steps buyers through the 8-stage production flrn nesting to DTF printing, sewing, QC, andpacking. All motion respects prefers-reduced-motion.
SEO was a core focus given the competitive "grosir baju anak Tanah Abang" market: per-page metadata, a LocalBusinJSON-LD graph with two physical locations (shoand robots, and target keywords woven intovisible on-page copy — tuned to reach both a local Indonesian audience and a global wholesale one.
Performance was tightened throughout: statically generated pages, GSAP and Lenis lazy-loaded out of the critical bundle, images compressed to WebP, a mobile-oping on the hero — bringing the public assetfootprint down from ~58MB to ~14MB.
Role: Sole developer — architecture, bilingual content system, animation, SEO, and performance.
